    Hi all,
I am living in a shared appartment with virgin mobile 260, actually I am paying 20euro for month, but internet is very bad because there are too many wifi connection in my appartment and also I am wondering my roomate download all day with torrent.
So I am thinking to update my sim from tesco mobile 5euro 1gb, to something that I could use also with tethering...
I saw there are some options:
    10euro/month 7.5GB with meteor
20euro/month with meteor or three for 15GB, etc

Can I use a few of tethering with those plans?

    Thank you

Get a SIM on Three €20 gets you unlimited data that you can tether with.

Yeah, but I read that it is not allowed the tethering, and also the limit is 15gb not unlimited.
btw 10gb I think are already enough for me

It is unlimited. They can reduce your speed a bit if your using too much in reality on your 3 account the limit is actually over 2000GB I know from experience of using this for years. And tethering will work but it's not supported by them.

Thats if you want 4G, 3G is included.

They've said the surcharge will be applied 4(?) times already, each time putting it off for several months. Would't be surprised if they do so again as their bloated customer base comes from being the cheapest going.

As far as I can tell, they took out the 4G promotional limit. I remember on the Prepay plans page the "Free 4G Access" had a '*' beside it along with the fine-print below saying something like "*Until 30th June 2016". The '*' is gone and no mention of the expiration in their FAQ page either which also mentioned about an eventual charge. The only place I see it now is on the homepage banner when clicking the green I]i[/I at the bottom-right which I suspect they forgot to remove.

Then again, even if they do charge €5/month for access, you can pay for that as part for the top-up since the top-up does not get consumed for the AYCE offer unlike Meteor's simplicity plans that gobble up the top-top.

Based on comparing the speed I get on my Three phone SIM against two broadband SIMs on the Three network here and here, it seems they are prioritising their 4G access for those with actual mobile broadband accounts. The throttling of AYCE accounts probably makes better sense than cramming all these users onto the already heavily congested 3G network at the end of June. On the other hand, the speed I'm getting on my phone is better than many rural DSL connections on very long lines, especially the uplink.
