    I wouldn't know.

Couldn't blame someone for thinking of conspiracy theories after that. ****ing farce of an ending when it was shaping up so well.

I know it's a completely different race series, but these cars look ugly compared to F1 cars.

Do they have far more down force?

they have the wheels enclosed to prevent cars touching wheels and going airborne.

That first pass for lead was a bit clumsy

    Good battle for lead though

Where to watch the Indy 500 lads?

BTSport/ESPN are showing indy qualifying at the moment and will have live coverage of final qualifying tomorrow night (Sunday) from 9pm with live race coverage next Sunday

Was good they gave Montoya a second run after the plastic bag incident, good battle between last few drivers for pole

Great story for Hinch, maybe now people can stop reminding him of his accident last year.

Would like to see Munoz, Newgarden or Rossi do well with a quick car.

Experience always seems to count tho.

Great coverage of Quali by BT/ESPN, acting on feedback from the UK/IE.

Only thing that wasnt great was the timing info in kph. Would have made much more sense to have mph. And the overlay at bottom of screen, over the onboard shots stopped you seeing driver in car

Nice to see BT have their own people over at the race doing interviews instead of the usual American tv reporters.

The speeds they do here are kind of scary

Wonder can Castroneves come back from that, he's looked strong all day

This late in the day, doubt it. If it'd been 100 laps ago, more than likely.

Nice job, on the limit of fuel. Good strategy by Rossi's team.

Happy for Rossi, nice story of trying to make it in motorsport, F1 didn't work out so far, tried Indy Car and now the Indy 500 champions...what dreams are made of.

Pity BT commentators talked over Rossi being interviewed, coverage was pretty great otherwise

Texas on tonight. Race is starting about an hour later than planned due to afternoon rains, green flag ETA at about 2:45

EDIT: Make that 3.30. Prep the coffee and/or energy drinks!

EDIT EDIT: Postponed. Racing at 7.15pm tomorrow. Yup, same time as F1 and Cup

Yup, we were under yellow for at least 30 laps beforehand for the aftermath of this: https://twitter.com/Mattzel89/status/742073536936808448

    Race postponed......

..... Until August 27th!! There'll be a practice session and they'll restart the race in the order compared on lap 71. That's a long wait to complete a race.

Caught a bit of some Indy race yesterday..i dont watch it so i'm amazed at the few hundred spectators compared to nascar...is this the norm..??

Pretty much. Open wheel in America still hasn't really recovered since the split back in 1996. There's also the secondary aspect in that the race was only announced four months ago as a replacement for the cancelled Boston street race.
