Ferry ports the world over are a complete disaster when it comes to signposting or any kind of logic when it comes to routing vehicles through them, and Rosslare, or any other Irish port isn't unique in that regard. It seems they design a road layout when they build them, and then decide the next day that that wasn't actually a good idea at all, and festoon it with bollards and barriers forcing everyone to travel at least twice as far as they actually need to to get from the port entrance to the ship. If you're lucky they'll change the signposting as well, but more likely not.
