Just came across this news (on the TD DIRECT site).

Those of you who use TD Direct for transactions should be aware that it looks to be for sale.

What implications do we think this could have? Reduced transaction fees? I've had a portfolio with TD for the past two years and only recently started using Degiro, what a difference in usability, never mind the massively reduced trading costs.

I looked into transferring my TD portfolio into Degiro but it looked like more hassle than it was worth!

Looking at setting up a portfolio. Buy to hold. Really just investing a few quid for the kids. Would you recommend Degiro?

In fairness to TD they seem to have recently fixed some of the long standing bugs on their accounts.
