I need to get a wider fitting set of shoes - anyone recommend a good shop in Kerry/Cork that would have a good selection? I have looked online, but don't want the hassle of getting sizes wrong and having to send them back.

I have a wide foot and a high instep. I have Shimano R087's in the Wide version. They fit but I can just get the ratchet strap into the first or second click. Will probably change the shoes this spring so must check out Northwave

    +1

I have wide flat fleet and the Northwave shoe i using is a true fit at 46, same as my normal foot size with no tightness or discomfort.

I have really wide feet, can't wear certain runners or football boots, and recently bought a pair of mavic shoes on chain reaction cycles. Went for the maxi fit ones. Half price too! I'm a size nine and nine and a half fit very well. Nice fitting shoes.

    Sidi standard I need 46

Sidi Mega I can fit into 44

Bont double wide and it's 43

The Bonts are pricey and getting the double wide fit may need a special order (I get mine direct from Bont - they are delivered from China so I've got to pay Import Duties on them)

+1 on the mavic maxi - great fit and quality shoe.
Not sure if they still do but they had them in cycle surgery if you want to try them on.
