The single cherry blossom tree in my garden has started to bloom this week, and did the same last year (the blossoms were all gone by late Feb/early March!).

Any particular reason this is happening?

The tree is fairly mature (approx 6m high). Don't know when it was planted as it came with the house.

Prunus autumnalis is a winter flowering cherry, can flower any time between about November and March, lovely tree.
