    Your pic link isn't working......

If it's a regular round ham fillet then I usually steep it in cold water for at least 24 hours to get rid of the excess salt.

When you're ready to cover place it in a big enough pot to allow you to cover it with water. Add some bay leaves, peppercorns and peeled lemon rinds.

Bring to the boil and then simmer for 20 minutes per lb or 45 minutes per kg.

White sauce - heat up 25g of butter in a small pan, when it's all melted add a tablespoon of plain flour. Stir continuously over the heat with a whisk for 2 minutes until the flour resembles sand. Remove from heat. Slowly and just a bit at a time, add a 1/4 pint of milk stirring all the time. It should start of a a big clump of goo but eventually it will turn into a liquid. Return to the heat. Allow to come to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes, still stirring continuously so the sauce doesn't stick to the pan. Add salt and pepper to taste and, if you ant, a tablespoon of finely chopped fresh parsley (2 teaspoons dried parsley).

Serve with mashed potatoes and cabbage that's been boiled for a few minutes in some of the liquor the ham was cooked in.

    Enjoy! :D
