    Guys
I'm looking at car hire and saw a Peugot 207 Estate and Renault Megane Estate
Is there much difference in size between the 2?

    thanks

What year / model is the Megane it would be bigger than a 207 anyway as the 207 would be a clio rival and the Megane would be 308 / golf etc rival. It would be noticeably bigger alright.

Is that including their own insurance?

It was the standard quote. Didn't look too closely.
I know I can get my own excess cover. Its my own fault for wanting to go to the algarve in July!
Getting in late on arrival and then driving to Lisbon for part of the time so need the car.

Ah ok I didn't realise you were hiring ultimately the Megane will have the bigger boot but it won't have much more space in the back seats area than the 207. I suppose it depends how many people are going to be in it and how much luggage. 5 people and a lot of luggage will be very tight in either. 3 adults in the back of either will be tight enough as they are only mid size cars at most.

It will be 2 adults and 2_kids and a buggy in the boot along with cases.

Id imagine either will be fine so plenty of room for the passengers and the boot should be fine size for 4 cases and a buggy.

Are you referring to the 207 or both?
I had a megane saloon at one stage. Comfy car but not sure if its worth telhe 150 extra.

Megane will be bigger however I think you would get away with the 207 for the sake of saving 150 euro. I had a quick look on donedeal see the boot picture of the car in this link and to me that boot looks big enough but you will be the better judge obviously hope that helps.

Is the car type guaranteed as part of the hire? I only ask as I've never actually got the car I booked in 20 years of car hire.
