GARMIN 520 ISSUE

    Got garmin 520 and all it says on screen is ' validating update ' not sure why this is and have no idea how to end or remove this ,its been like this for hours, did a spin today and did not up load as usually does so uploaded garmin express again and it uploaded spin but has this validating update on screen since and cant do anything with the unit , any help please

    Just saw this
    Try getting the unit in to mass storage mode by

    plugging the unit into the usb port. Press and hold lap/reset while pressing the power button for about 5 seconds. The screen will go blank – let up on the power button at that time but keep holding lap/reset. This should force it to mass storage.

    Once in mass storage mode delete the update file from the Edge

    delete Garmin\gupdate.gcd
    remove any files from the Garmin\NewFiles folder

    Disconnect the Edge from the PC. Once it has successfully restarted try going back through the update process using Garmin Express.
