    Hi
Thinking of doing a camping holiday this year and this has caught my eye, have any of you been? Its outside Cambrils? Any info on it would be great.

We were there for two weeks last year in early July. Not overly impressed. We didn't have a car and felt very isolated. There is a limited bus service to Cambrills and the costs of taxis added up. Site was clean, pools good but not a lot happening in early July. Maybe it gets better as the summer goes on. Staff weren't very helpful either. We went with Eurocamp. Feel free to ask any questions

O brill thanks very much. were actually thinking of going in mid May but our son is only 3 so wouldn't really need night entertainment as such. We said we'd hire a car ourselves as when I looked at taxis they are expensive. Have you been anywhere else, or recommend anywhere? I suppose we're picking Spain as for to hopefully get decent weather in May!

We've been to Italy four times and are going back this year. We've been to Bella Italia which was brilliant when the kids were smaller. Booked directly with the site and loved it. No need for a car. FLy to Vernoa and 20 mins in a taxi. Lots to do around the area as well. Going back to Union Lido outside Venice for the 3rd time this year. Booked with Bolero who are an English company. Their sites are very central. Place is huge with lots of restaurants and pools and is on the beach. We go in late June and it never seems crowded. Wont need a car again. Bus from the airport drops you outside the site. Looking out at this weather, I cant wait for June.

That's brill info thanks. It'll be our first family holiday foreign so it's so hard to know. Do you find Italy v expensive???
Thanks very much for your help

It not very expensive. Spain was cheaper but preferred the food etc in Italy. saying that if you book ahead of time with Bella Italia, they have good deals for their apartments. They overlook the pool and were brilliant for the kids. The Ice Cream is waaaay better as well. I suppose it depends on what you want from a holiday. Trial and error really

No problem. Last thing - there is a great restaurant on the beach in Playa Montroig called Friends. Go right when you come onto the beach and it's about a 5 minute walk. Ribs to die for. Other than that head to Portaventura, Cambrills and we finished up with 2 nights in Barcelona which was brilliant. Enjoy.
