Screen going black within 1 minute of login

Ok, I finally managed to install windows 10 manually (despite never previously getting the upgrade option in my toolbar, and then nothing happening when I tried running the setup .exe file I downloaded from ms website)

Now within the first minute of logging in, the monitor goes black, it doesn't really give me time to try anything much, so I'm considering rolling back to trusty W7

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

Boot in safe mode, get driver sweeper and uninstall your GPU driver. Boot into windows and install the latest win10 driver.

Edit. Was it a clean install? It does sound like a driver issue.

When the monitor goes black, what else happens? Does it turn your PC off?
