    They're owned by PayPal now. Very similar to Stripe but with much better PayPal integration. Stripe has lower fees though currently at 1.4% for European cards, but Braintree has a promotion going on where you get your first €50,000 worth of transactions free.

    Just to be clear, here are the current fees:

    Stripe: 1.4% for EU cards, 2.9% for non-EU cards
    Braintree: 2.4% for EU cards, 3.4% for non-EU cards
