Gas radiators

    Asking this for a neighbour that's elderly,the lady called into say she's having problems with her heating.not knowing much I went in ,strange because she had two switches with timers on both one for upstairs and for downstairs .the radiators down stairs work really well ,but can't figure out why they don't work upstairs,I turned both on and both lights came on ,would anyone have any knowledge please

    Firstly the gas only runs the burner to heat water that circulates in the rads so they are not gas radiators.
    she needs to get a plumber as it could be anything from air in the first floor rads to faulty zone value etc depending on how the system is put together.

    Don't think she can afford it ,il bleed the radiators and see .thanks for your advice

    Both areas have a motorized valve, on the broken one just move and lock lever into the open manual position.
    This will allow water to pass through when the other area is switched on.

    Motorized valve costs about €55

    Thank you I'm going around there tomorrow ,hopefully It's the bleeding the radiators that solves it
