Timing Belt Change, when?

    Hi All,
As the title suggests, I am trying to find out when the timing belt on my car would be due. Before anyone asks, I just rang the local Volkswagen dealer and their service department is closed today.

My car is a 2011 VW Polo, 1.2L petrol. It's done about 60,000kms (90% on motorways if that makes any difference)

I have asked relations, friends etc, but they only give me a guess/their best memory of when they had it done. I was hoping a qualified mechanic or similar on here might know the actual timing (excuse the pun).

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I'm not a mechanic but the TB on my golf was done at 70,000 if that's any help.

As far as i know that engine has a timing chain which doesnt need changing at set intervals.

I think they switched back from a chain to a belt on that 1.2 Tsi engine, depending on the year.

Ok guys, thanks for your help. Looks like I will need to contact Volkswagen on Monday to confirm. Thanks again
