Car trouble, thinking of selling Seamaster 2531.80

    Hi,

Well, some likely big bills on the car mean I'm probably going to have to sell my 2531.80, and quickly. It's 1999 and in excellent condition, but due a service (had planned to leave it with the recommended folks in Loughrea ). I'm mindful that eBay isn't a good place to check value. I wondered if someone knew the current asking price on TZ UK?
It's boxed and with original (blank) warranty card.
Having no car means it's going to be tough to sell too, and I really don't want a jeweller profiteering off it. It's something of a prize possession, so difficult sale.

This might give you an idea, awkward situation to be in, hope things improve for you soon, good luck.

Thanks for that blue5000, gives me an idea of what to list for in the for sale thread here ( lower than that as expect I shall need a quick sale)
Now to decide if it is to be my 2254.50 or 2531.80, and then photograph it. Tough time, and appreciate the comment.

Was in the same boat myself, but bouncing back..

If you are selling, I could be interested,so put it up hee 1st.

Thanks DT - should know the news in a few days, so all hinges on how bad the estimate is then.
Seems the 2254.50 has a bit of a premium over the 2531.80 these days. The 2254.50 is my daily, and the 2531.80 is so well kept that I wear it rarely. Maybe it should be the other way around!
I'm hoping for the best (keeping them), but will see how the week goes.
I would pop it on the sale thread here anyway, nowhere else. With all the folks like Wibbs and you guys, I couldn't not.
I have read comments on adverts.ie watch sales and shaken my head many times - sheer frustration for the sellers.

    Thanks again folks, fingers crossed.

FWIW Fmul, if you're in the general south Dublin area, I know a couple of mechanics who don't charge main dealer, bend over, lube up and brace yourself prices and if I can help...

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
