Boundary wall

My house backs onto two houses behind it, the boundary wall which is made of block work is in danger of coming down in the next few years, at the moment it's leaning towards thier side of their property.

We didn't live in the house when the wall was erected, but the neighbours say that we had a wall but the builders of the houses behind us removed a tree from the bottom of the garden and disturbed the land and knocked over our wall while building the estate.

The wall was rebuilt by their builders, leaving the support columns on their side. This was easily 15 years ago. Since then slowly over time the land has started to move and all the walls from our house and up 4 doors is settling and the block walls are falling towards their estate. (None have actually fallen, just leaning)

We would like the wall fixed, as we don't want to see it fall and damage property or people. However we are unsure whose liability / responsibility it is. My gut feeling is the builder should be correcting the issue, but it was a long time ago and I don't know who they were or how to find out. Then does the responsibility fall to the houses behind who had the wall rebuilt or to us as it was replacing our original wall (we checked the land reg pics, but the wall is so skinny its hard to see whose land its on)

    Any help appreciated.

No point in going back to the builder. You and the neighbours should agree on a repair and split the cost. It may be possible to claim against your house insurance. You should contact you broker and get a loss assessor if covered.
