Is it possible to buy one of those city bikes(Dublin and Cork type)?

Due to a medical condition, I can't get on a standard men's bike easily. The rent a bike style suits me perfectly, so does anyone know if it's possible to buy a used one?

I was thinking of just getting a girl's bike, but I just know Neanderthals would shout inane **** at me as I cycle about.

    thanks.:)

I don't think you can buy that exact model on the market, as they're made in France specifically for bike-share programmes.

But I guess any bike with a step-through or mixte frame might suit you. The assumption that they're for ladies is increasingly old-fashioned, I think.

Folding bikes also generally don't have a top tube (which I assume is what makes a diamond frame unsuitable for you), and are quite useful for multi-mode transport and storage.

I often cycle my wife's mixte bike. Insanely comfy and I find people say nothing.

I think you'll find that the type of people who pass comment are the type of people you should ignore, it might be a nice way to identify them.

Worth noting that the OP has been banned (apparently for trolling), so is unlikely to see any further replies (unless they return logged out or as a rereg, of course)

Yup, got a perma-site ban for trolling.

Funnily enough, some time ago I saw a guy selling Dublin Bike on adverts... soon after he posted that the add was gone.

400? Not-that-unfair price for the only bike I know I can call bombproof :) You just need to pick one in good condition :P
