Does anyone know if you need to take out travel insurance BEFORE booking flights or will they be covered for cancellation etc if you take your policy out after the flights have been booked???
    TIA

You'd be covered after booking as long as the event that forces the cancellation wasn't known before you bought insurance.
Eg, couldn't go because a relative was sick, if u book insurance after the flights but before the person is sick you'd be covered, but if they're already sick and you buy insurance knowing that then you wouldn't be covered.
That's as far as I know anyway!
