Ethonol proof Fuel hose

    Fuel hoses don't seem to last me very long, have tried some from local motor factor and Ebay but latest hose failed after about 2 years. Looks like the Ethanol in fuel is eating the cheap rubber hoses.

    Is there anywhere in Ireland I can purchase 8mm genuine R6 or R9 rubber fuel hose?

    Looking online I found a few in the UK but postage costs make it very expensive. CBS want £18 just for delivery.

    Halfords used to sell carded rolls of R9 fuel hose - that's what you're looking for. I'm not keen on the braided stuff as you won't see it perishing.

    There's been some concerns over restamped R7 fuel hose appearing as R9 so make sure what you buy is branded and not generic
