Easiest journey from Heuston station to Dun laioghre?

I'm taking someone to hospital in Dun Laioghre in the next few weeks and I need to know the easiest way to get there as they'll be having an anesthetic so I want to make it as hassle free for them as possible. Travelling up to Heuston and don't know my way around Dublin. Thanks in advance.

If public transport is an option, then take the Luas from Heuston to Connolly and get the DART to Dún Laoghaire. Ten minute walk or so then to the hospital (probably more depending on the patient).

Don't think there's a connecting bus.

145 from Heuston and then switch to the 46A anywhere after D'olier Street, Kildare Street just after the Dáil might be easiest. Get off on Clarence Street and then walk 5 minutes to Hospital (though Luas and DART would likely be quicker).

Just checking, but which hospital? There is St Michaels in Dun Laoghaire or National rehabilition Centre on Rochestown Ave.

Its an awful journey for an ill or weak person to make by Luas/Bus/Train.
