    Hey guys,
So I finally was able to put my name down for a council house with the view of getting rental allowance, everything should be pretty straight forward in getting it, the one question I have is Am I eligible for the couple plus 1 child as my wife is expecting and will be one month away when we become eligible for it.
The difference is like 700 euros with child 540 without

No because you don't have a child- what will you say if they ask for a birth cert? Or what are you going to put for the child's pps?
It takes a while for them to approve your application anyway so I'd suggest putting your wife's due date into the comments section or as a separate letter and as soon as you have the birth cert and pps contact them and ask to amend your application.

Unfortunately till the child arrives your still only entitled to a one bed property.
And the council won't accept otherwise till the child is born and actually registered and you will need a birth certificate to register the new addition with the county council first
