Theatre Nursing Shoes

Hi, not sure if this is the right thread or not (feel free to move mods if needed)

Basically I'm starting in Theatre in the middle of Feburary and I'm just wondering what type of shoes to buy! I've heard mixed reports from people I've been talking to. The general consensus is that people are moving away from cloggs and onto runner. This brings a whole other debate, what type of runners to wear, proper running runners, walking shoes, asics, eccos, sketchers.

So confused, any advice would be really appreciated!

Whatever you wear they should be easily cleanable, easy to spot bodily fluid on (infection control) and easily changeable (clogs popular as they are hands free).

Please remember that regardless of what your peers or superiors do, the stuff that you wear in theatre should NOT be worn outside theatre. You don't need the cap, face mask, gown and clogs in the canteen. Nor do you need the stethoscope dangling into the salad bar to help you select your lunch!
Yes I've seen bloodstained theatre gear in the staff canteen.
