Hi.my old banger of a car was scrapped last year.A local guy took it. But he didn't take the log book. Do I send it away now with a letter to say it's been scrapped or is there a form or proceedure I need to go through?

Did you use an approved end-of-life facility? If so they will give you a destruction certificate.

If you are 100% sure it's in small metal bits I'd just forget about the whole thing but hang on the the logbook, in case.
