Emergency tax

I've been working part time in my first job for the past 4 months. I sent away form 12a at the end of last year but only got my tax clearance cert a week ago. I rang revenue and aligned my tac credits to the company

I had been paying emergency tax for nearly the whole time and built up over 700 quid. Can i apply for my tax back while still working for the first time?

I don't have a p45 or p60 and I've been told that because i paid most of the tax last year it wont be refunded through payroll.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You'll get a p60 by mid February and can claim the tax back from Revenue then.

This years tax will refund automatically through payroll

Register for Revenue's online self service and you will be able to claim a refund of any overpayment of tax for 2015 online.
