    Hi Guys,

Have a Sime Ecomfort Plus 25 HE boiler which has recently started making grinding noises. It still works.

Anybody got any idea what might be up with it ?

    Thanks Paul

Could be the pump or the fan on the way out.

Thanks, suspect the pump which was replaced Jan 2014.

Anybody know how long one typically gets out of a pump ?

If the system is clean, a pump should last 10-15 years, but it's not unheard of for new parts to fail.

I'm interested in this too for my parents. I don't know what model of gas boiler they have but it grinds quite often. It has been serviced a number of times and nothing found to be wrong. By turning it off for a second or by changing the temperature it stops.
