    Hi,

Could anyone here give me some advice, my NCT is coming up and since this time last year after a successful test the handbrake/abs lights are on in my dashboard. I assumed the NCT guys did something to the sensors.

Could you please direct me to a mechanic/auto electrician in the Dublin area who could reset the dashboard?

My car is a 00 Mazda.

Jaysus chrisht you put it off for long enough anyway. And then people wonder why insurance companies think older cars are death traps

Well I didn't want to get it done and for the lights to come back on before the test!

The ABS lights won't be on for no reason. You need to fix the cause rather than just reset the lights. An ABS sensor probably needs replacement on one of the wheels.

Any indie mechanic local to you should sort it out ;)

Just to clarify, are you saying that the abs light came on after the test last year

All the lights came on after the test so I assumed they had done something

If you've had the abs light on your dash for a year, I'd suggest going to a mechanic to have whatever codes that are stored read, and then have whatever necessary carried out. Don't just clear codes, problems will still be there
