    Son was discharged sunday told to ring on Tuesday if he did not get his appointment for wednesday. Tuesday afternoon rang and rang tried different numbers nobody was answering even the main number have not been able to speak to a person never mind what time he is to be there tomorrow.
    We went to A&E last week Nobody was at the desk could find no staff finally found a porter.

    No sure about the Mater specifically, but this should work.
    Do you know what consultant your son was under? Check out the Mater website http://www.mater.ie/services/consultants/a/ and select the relevant consultant, the phone number there is usually for their secreatary. Or per speciality here http://www.mater.ie/services/consultants-by-specialty/
    If the clinic is on tomorrow - then the secretary is probably at the clinic. Ring up the main switch, or the outpatient appt numbers listed here and ask for that consultants/speciality clinic and ask to be put through to them.

    And sometimes it takes a while to get through to switch unfortunately - they are fielding internal and external calls.
