I am curious as to why anyone would need the satellite frequency for the channel you referenced on the Astra satellite as I understand that you would only be able to view channels such as TV3, in addition to TV3+1, TG4, UTV Ireland, RTÉ One, RTÉ 2, RTÉjr, Oireachtas TV, provided that you currently have an active Irish SKY Digital subscription.

If you are currently an active SKY Digital subscriber here in the Republic any change in an individual channel's satellite frequency should automatically update on the SKY electronic programme guide (epg). Otherwise, non-SKY subscribers (e.g.) free-to-air digital satellite viewers will have noticed that all of the main Irish terrestrial public service channels like TV3, RTÉ are scrambled on satellite unless you pay an Irish SKY subscription package.

If something has changed, please advise but somehow I very much doubt it!

A loaded question if ever I saw one.

    This statement is false.

OK. TV3, RTÉ are scrambled on the Astra satellite unless you pay an Irish SKY subscription package.

RTÉ is free to air on 9˚E.

If you are a residential customer using a residential Sky box then, yes, this is updated automatically.
However, if you are using professional satellite receivers, such as those used by network operators, then this needs to be done manually.

Oh apologies to AngryDiMaria! :-) I completely forgot all about the popular Saorsat digital satellite which broadcasts a handful of channels free-to-air via KA Sat @9 degrees. While you may get certain RTÉ TV channels and TG4 via Saorsat please be advised that you can still NOT receive TV3, nor 3e, nor UTV Ireland nor Oireachtas TV via this method. Given that the OP's query specified "TV3" and "astra" in their OP, I suspect the individual in question knew I was answering in that particular context but I am happy to issue this clarification.

Note: TV3 is NOT free-to-air on digital satellite

With the OP's question answered, another thread degenerating into sniping. If I see it again at the very least warnings will be handed out.
