    Is paperless billing default? If so ho can i swap to paper?

    Thank you for getting in touch.

    Postal billing is the default. Online billing requires creating an online account, which will automatically convert the customer's bills to electronic.

    But if a customer creates an online account and then wishes to change their billing back to postal, this can be done for them by our Online Billing team (they just deactivate the online account).

    Ah so. I didnt realise, the online account serves no purpose except to view bills so or can it be used for anythin else?

    Hi again Old Perry,

    With online billing, customers can make a payment, submit a meter-reading, submit a query, and amend their direct debit details if relevant. Online billing is the faster way to receive a bill also.

    Online billing stores previous bills also (for 18 months) and there is a discount available for it (in addition to a discount for direct debit and gas plus electricity).
