I can't believe this thread arrived now. I'm just after being looking at it on Donedeal and was wondering what it's like in the flesh. I was wondering what it costs too.

It's aprox double the price of timber posts and the other concern is with high tension pulling the posts up where there is a dip in the land ! Big in Australia this fencing and easy install ! Good few clips on YouTube about it and looks simple one man job ! I'd like to see a neighbour put in first before I'd outlay

was thinking the same about letting a neighbour trying it out first!!

I was wondering though when you tension the wire, will it slide up and down the strainer post. at least with a timber post you can stick in a staple to hold the wire in place. think the strainer is 65-70 euro. asked a rep about how they put them in he said they slide a pipe over them and use pole banger.

We looked at it on your mans farm near tyrells pass. Good job but very pricey. We didn't go for at as theres a lot of corners in the field we did. The strainers are around €70 each. But it's grant approved so it might be more appealing

Used alot of this type fencing in nz. Really easy to work with and take back down if nessary . No need for fancy strainers just use a timber one. Only used them for elec fencing tho
