Ring of Beara or Tour de Connemara

    Both these were on my to do list for 2016. Unfortunately they're clashing on 28th May. Anyone done both and have leanings towards one above the other / comments / recommendations etc. ?

    The An Post Rebel Tour event is on in September covering the Ring of Beara. You can do both! :)

    Thinking of doing one of them too. Connamara is cheaper plus gives a free jersey. Ring of Beara want to charge for the jersey.

    Connamara is 40eur including a jersey.

    Ring of Beara is 55eur plus 4eur booking fee. The jersey is then 15eur.

    So total of 74eur versus 40.

    Big price difference.

    Even as a proud Galwegian I'd have to say that Beara has much nicer scenery than Connemara.
