Search bar not working

Is anyone else having problems with the search bar at the top of the page? When I type in something and click search it doesn't find anything and brings me to the advanced search page. When I search here it just refreshes the page. Any ideas what is wrong?

I was just about to post this.

Any time I search I get a red bar and X at the top of the screen and that's it.
