It's the Department of Foreign affairs that does apostilles. Are you looking to the documents notarized first?

have you looked at this site as not every solicitor does it:http://www.notarypublic.ie/

What I did was get a copy of my degree notarized and then sent it to the Department of Foreign affairs.

What do you need the apostille for? It's only the Department of Foreign affairs that can issue an apostille.

Usually people make a copy of the document that they need, for example, your degree. That needs to be a notarized copy.

The fastest way to get a document copied and notarized (if you need this) is to ring a notary public (listed on the website I linked to) and make an appointment.

The fastest way to get an apostille on a document is to go to the Department of Foreign Affairs, near Stephen's Green if I remember correctly.

An apostille is a guarantee made by the Irish government to other governments that a document created in Ireland is a genuine copy.
