    Hi guys,

Recently got a brand new Mazda 6 Exec SE "Light pack" model and can't seem to figure out if it has "follow me home" lights at all. My last car had them and I thought they were a very neat and handy extra when parking up at night etc.
I've tried go into "Settings-Lights" on the control console but when I try touchscreen the "Lights" heading absolutely nothing happens and I can't go any further. Am I to assume therefore it hasn't got them at all? Is it only the Platinum model has these?
    Anyone know? Cheers.

If its anything like Mazda 3, when you switch off the engine, try to pull the lights stalk towards you. Its not automatic unless you turn it on.

Or also, as long as lights are turned "on" position, when you unlock the car, it turns on the lights.

All failing, have a read on the Owners manual, best place for it.

It might not have that feature. Check owner's manual or ask dealer.

According to the brochure, this feature is standard across the range. Have no idea how to set up to be honest.

The Mazda 6 manual is here:

    Should be easy to find.

Page 184 of the owners manual. Under the lights section.

Like I said, pull the light level/stalk towards you like you were about to switch on your high beams and it will stay on for a period of time when the ingition is off....

That pretty much how it works on EVERy car with this feature.

Presumably as the OP has had a car with this feature before, he has at least tried to do this or consulted his handbook

Maybe in some more premium cars they stay on automatically for a period of time after the ignition is switched. That was my understanding when I first heard of the feature, unfortunately you have to turn it on manually every time which is a nuisance.
