Am using some Rain Clear on my rear windscreen as have no rear rear window wiper on the S40 and it seems to work well. Its an old product so am wondering what do others use and if they use a product on the front windscreen?

I've used GTechniq G1&G2 last July and it has just begun to stop being effective.

I bought the Soft99 Ultra Glaco Glass Coating Rain Repellent when Mr.Detail had his closing down sale so I'm going to prep the glass next time I wash it and try it out!

I've used Gtechniq G1 on my last car and current car. It lasted perfectly for 2.5 years without degrading. It's something I will always apply to a new car immediately. When you're used to it, glass without it is just annoying.

Out of the whole Gtechniq range this is the 1 I would recommend if you want to only ever try 1 of their products.

There are plenty of options out there.
Some are a simple spray on, wipe of the wipers and you are done. Others require the product to be buffed in, or to cure a then be buffed off. And the more durable ones take a bit of preparation to ensure the surface is in its best state for the sealant to bond.

Even some of the quick detailers work reasonably well for a short time...not all but some.
