    Hi all ,

Planning a few cycle trips here and Just wondering if anyone knows how much of this Greenway will be complete by April/May of this year or how far west it can be cycled on as of now . Also wondering if there are many campsites on the route ?

    Thanks for any info ,

    Barry

From the Meath/Westmeath border the canal towpath is either packed hardcore/gravel or Tarmac all the way to the where you join old rail line just the Athlone side of Mullingar where it's tarmacced (with a great surface all the way to Garrycastle, Athlone.
No campsites en route ( campsite at Lough Ennel Mullingar).
Not really sure what it's like east of Westmeath
