    Hi all,

Seeing a counsellor the past few weeks with a view to returning to work in the next few months. I am out of work now 5 years I became very unwell when my daughter was born. I became riddled with depression and anxiety and could not even leave the house without having a panic attack. I returned to work in the 5 years for a year and a half where I was well but unfortunately it all happened to me again. Counsellor suggests to get up at 6.30 in the morning have a shower get ready as if I'm going to work and get my child ready for school. Usually I get up at 7.15 and go up without a shower to the school. I'm then to take tea breaks as if I was at work. I shower every day anyway but that's after the school and after I am after having a sleep until 11 am. I'm fearing how all this will work already. When I returned to work before my dad used to come and collect my child so I could have a shower and get ready for work. I have put on about 5 stone in weight since I had my girl lost all my friends and basically am a mess. Any opinions appreciated.

The advice to get in a mind set as if you are going to work seems sound and really, why not run with it. If/when you do return to work this is a routine you need to adjust too. What is there against trying it?
