    Hi,

I wondering can anybody help me.

Ive been looking for quite a while now for a car of some sort or a 7 seater vehicle that i can use for going on hiking trips with.

I want the seats to be able to fold away so i can fit a mattress in the back for sleeping, and possible some storage space.

Im trying not to go above a 1.8 because of the price of car tax

I want to also be able to use it for work around the city, so don’t want it to be a very bulky vehicle or a van, something compact but with enough space to sleep comfortably.

The best I can come up with at the moment is the Mazda 5, but not a lot available in my price range which is max around 2000 - 2500.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for reading..

The predecessor to the Mazda5 was the Demio, they were sold originally as a MPV that you could fold the seats down and sleep in, you'd find a good one for less than 2500.
1.3 engine so easy to tax.

I thought the predecessor to the Mazda5 was the Premacy and they were 1.8/2.0 litre? The Demio was a lot smaller.

Renault kangoo or berlingo multispace would be a good option. People have converted these into micro-campervans.

2005 grand scenic. The rear seats are removable on quick release catches.
