Newly qualified practice salaries

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone has some guidance in relation to the current level of salaries in practice for newly qualified accountants? I've just become qualified and I've been working in practice for 3.5 years at this stage. I currently work as a senior in a top 20 firm and I've a very broad range of skills and experience. I note the latest Brightwater survey indicates €40-50k but I'm not sure how accurate that is. I'm also aware the market has now turned and there's a shortage of newly qualified accountants. Any opinions or comments would be appreciated!

Top 20 you should be getting early €40k. €45k + you would have to move to a top 10.

€45k seems to be an average 'package' for 2015 excluding big 4 but including assistant mangers.

I think if it's truly a top 20 firm, you should be looking for mid 40's at least.
