I'm curious about the recent adoption by the office of the DPP of the victims charter which allows victims to apply for a summary statement of reasons where the office will not progress with a prosecution and how the charter relates to other statutory prosecuting bodies, e.g. the EPA, HSE etc.

Are these bodies bound to apply this charter or at least consider the charter as best practice?

    Link to the charter

    Thanks
