Signed up to do the Ring of Beara on 28th of May. Got some good info on Boards before I did my first Ring of Kerry a few years back about what to expect on the day. Heard its a shorter but tougher route with more climbs. Looking at the profile on Map my Ride there is a serious looking spike after Glengariff. Any info on whats in store?

That's the Caha pass, it's longish but not really steep anywhere, it's some of the smaller bumps out at the end of the peninsula that you want to want to watch out for.....

Does anyone know what the story with the different start locations is? Kenmare is sold out which would be the best bet for anyone coming down from Dublin.

Wondering the same myself. Have shot the organizing crew a message, hoping to start from Kenmare with mates and missed the tickets.
