    Hi Gents,

I haven't been back  here since my last purchase from you guys way back in 2011 I think (51" Samsung Plasma, 4 Wharfedale standing speakers, Cambridge audio center speaker, Cambridge audio subwoofer and a Denon avr 1912)

I have to say, everything is still working a treat and your recommendation on setup was 2nd to none.

My TV is starting to see a little bit of burn (to be expected after almost 5 years) and I am interested in moving to 4k viewing.

    Questions:
    1. Can you recommend a 4K TV for around the €1250 mark please?

    2. Will I be able to use my existing Denon avr 1912 for 4k viewing (PS4 video, YouTube 4k, Netflix, Nvidia Shield)

    3. If the answer to question 2 is No, can you recommend a new receiver please?

    Thanks,

    OR

    Hi Omegared,
Many thanks for your post, and thanks for your comments, always nice to hear from a satisfied cusrtomer :)

for a 4k Tv around the €1250 mark, the best model I could suggest would be the Samsung UE55JU6500 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201284-ue55ju6500.aspx - at €1229, a 55" 4k set with refresh rate of 1100PQI - unfortunatel tho this model is an onstore model only, and as such can't be shipped

If store collection isn't an option. I would look at the Panasonic TX55CX680 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201325-viera-tx55cx680b.aspx - now listed at €1099 - again a 55" 4k and refresh rate of 1000

Both of these prices include a 6 year guarantee, and ofr the panasonic, also includes shipping

With regards to your amp, if you want to do picture switchin, unfortunately the model you have won't pass through a 4k signal. In this case you would need to change.
You could look at the new model, the Denon AVRX 2200 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201492-avrx2200w.aspx - currently listed at €529
Or if you wanted a bargain, the fantastic Yamaha RXA550, I can do for you at €595

Have a look at the options above, and let me know your thoughts

    Cheers
    Brian
