Virgin Media Slow Down in Galway

    Hi

Is there an Virgin Media rep that can explain why the broadband speed in the Knocknacarra area of Galway has deteriorated since before Christmas. I have customer after customer in the area complain that they can't stream without the WiFi dropping or continuous buffing, this includes sites like Youtube also.

There is nothing wrong with their system and when I check their routers there is no problem either. Its simply a Virgin Media problem with reduced broadband. Often when checking the speed it is 2/3's less than it should be.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not can somebody move it to the right place. Thanks.

Your best bet is the talk to forum here.

I don't know if they will deal with you directly though, as I think you need to be a customer to get a specific issue looked at.

Thanks for the link to forum

I am an actual customer of theirs also, and have experienced the same issues with my own connection also. It has never even remotely got to being anything closed to the advertised bandwidth they advertised. In fact since I went up to a higher speed last year it seemed to get slower

If its a 30Mb area, par for the course.

If its a 120/240/360 area then get on the talk2 forum.

No its not a 30Mb area.
Its a reality new infrastructure and capable of 360mb/s

I have found the right place to contact Virgin Media on here thanks to MMFITWGDV.
