    Hi folks,

Long story short, had my Giant Rapid 4 stolen outside my job last week, need a new bike ASAP, im on a budget but also dont wanna downgrade.

Ive seen this bike online on cycle superstore , 750 reduced to 500 , guy in the shop said it compares well to the Rapid 4 but then again he would say that! so im looking for an independent view.

Brand is Primavera, i hadn't heard of them and finding very little online, i know they're from Taiwan!

Anyone be able to look at the spec and tell me if im doing well compared to my old bike? i could stretch the budget if needs be for a more household name, but if this is good i dont wanna pass on a bargain.

    Thanks in advance

    Peter

Two very different bikes - but Primevera is good for the price and spec. Carbon fork, triple chainset with Claris. The Rapid has a triple MTB groupset, Claris is a road set so will be lighter and crisper.

Primevera will be much lighter and more nimble, just make sure you get the right size frame. What height/inseam do you have? Also, one thing that put me off those bikes is according to a sales rep from CSS the frames only have a year warranty.

Well I'm 5-9 and have a 54cm (medium) Felt and a 53 (medium) Cube, inseam of 31"..I would think you would want a 56cm frame which can be a M/L or L depending on the bike. Best bet is to go to CSS and try both sizes. Just remember you can make a smaller bike bigger but its much harder to make a bigger bike smaller!
