Hi all, I'm hoping to get accepted into arts in nuig next year and I have noticed that according to their website, it is possible to study irish through arts in first year even if I dont sit the higher level exam next june???? Could anyone verify this information? Have any of you done this before? My standard of Irish isn't terrible or anything (at least in my opinion) I have been to the gaeltacht (connemara) and am hoping to get at least an A or B1 in June. I chose to do ordinary level in fifth year because I wanted to put more effort into other subjects(namely maths and english). anyways, I'm thinking I might pick english, german and gaeilge in first year and then drop one of these going into second year, I.e. if the Irish proves too difficult for me. So, do you guys know of anyone who has studied irish like this before? What advice would you give? Is gaeilge in nuig unbearably difficult and would I just be wasting my own time?
    Thanks in advance.
