Has anyone had an email from Tesco which might be a scam?
It appears as the usual Tesco club card points, says they want to give me 5000 points, but I'm just to give my name and address.
What's the game here, board does?

Tesco should already know your name and address from your cc application form?
So there is no reason to ask for it again. Scam alert!

But what good is my name and address to the scammers? That's what I'm wondering!

Clicking on the link introduces the malware.

What is the actual sender email address?
from "tesco" as a header means nothing

I would be very wary. Email tesco customer service to check if you are considering clickling.

I would agree with the other posters, definitely sounds like a scam. Tesco have been used in phishing schemes before.

This page on the Tesco UK site might be helpful.

    Thanks for all the replies
I get lots of phishing emails same as everyone else, but they always look for bank details.
I'm really just interested in how they could scam money out of you by just giving them your address?

A the risk of repeating myself....It's malware as opposed to a bank account scam.
