Electronic TT groupset advice

My first foray into electronic shifting is going to be on my TT bike. I have frame/bars/brakes/chainset and 10speed disc. I want to get electronic shifters and derailleurs. Is there anything else I need or anyone who could help me out. I know zero about this and I'm trying to do it as cheaply as possible. Thanks

Unless you are going for the electronic shifters on the brakes I'm not 100% sure of the advantages. This will push up the price too. Also make sure that you get the 10 speed compatible ones, not all di2 shifters are compatible with all di2 derailleurs. As far as I know there is specific shifters for ten speed that need to go with the 10 speed derailleurs.

Back to the question, you will need bar end shifters, brake levers with shifters, front derailleur, rear derailleur, 5port junction box (1cable from each bar end shifter and 1 from each brake shifter), battery, charger, cables. (there might be another type of junction box for near the derailleurs, I can't fully remember)

I looked into it for my TT bike but it was as cheap to buy the full group rather than the parts individually. cheapest I could see was around 1200 on bike 24, this didn't include cables either which work out around 15-20 euro each.

same as joey, i looked into it for my Tri bike and decided not to, cost for the advantage of shifting from the brakes wasn't worth it. if you want to have shifting from the bars and the horns then it's not going to work on your aim of doing it on the cheap.

Ask away with any questions you have and I'll do my best to answer them. I don't have it on my TT bike but did look into it a good bit and like mossy couldn't justify spending the money on it. Would like it but not sure I would spend 1200 on something that won't make me any faster.

just to point out, i have di2 on my road bike, which was why i was looking at it for my tri bike.

I'm basically treating myself as a birthday/Xmas pressie. I have an 808 front and shimano pro disc with a 7700 durace hub (10spd) from my old tt bike. I'm eyeing up a Scott plasma premium frame/bars etc but getting a 10speed electronic tt group set is a non runner now it seems. I thought an 11speed could be reprogrammed for 10 speed but it can't be done and if I have to change the disc then the money thing is gone nuts!

Still some 10 speed stuff out there, I know Rose bikes where selling off stuff. If it where me I'd prefer the new frame anyway, the scott plasma is a lovely frame. Westbrook cycles had a sale recently with the plasma frame and the di2 shift kit but I think that deal is over now. Edelrad.de have some great deals on frames too. Know a lad who bought and built a P2 from there for around the price of a frame here.
