Community employment scheme and jobseekers allowance

So money is a bit tight and thought that signing up for a C.E scheme might be a good idea for a few extra euro and experience. But reading into they treat it as a job so i am worried that if i do one that my partners jobseekers allowance would be cut to a point it actually makes us worse off would that be right ?
