Hi just looking for info on whether this is doable or not. Looking to have a makeup/ hair products storage unit. I am looking for one of these but just too pricey to justify it. Any materials I could pick up for my other half to make this? I did get him a drill for Xmas so at least it will be put to use! Thanks for any ideas x

You should google 'ikea furniture hacks'. A lot of people buy reasonably priced furniture from ikea and modify it to suit their own needs. I've seen a few really good beauty storage ones.
