    Hi
My husband and I are building a home at present.
we bought insulation from a company back in Sep or Oct 2015 and paid someone to put it in.
Got a phone all today from the company saying the had undercharged us at the time and we now owe them €3000!
We haven't got the money as we're completely skint trying to finish the house and pay builders.
I'd like to tell them to shove it but legally I don't know where we stand.
    Can anyone advise?
    Thanks

Think they are trying their arm here, not your fault this has happened, unfair to ask for money 3-4 months after the fact imho..

Might be better putting this in legal forum tbh.. might get better advice.

    I can.

    Tell them to piss off!

They gave you a price, you took it. If they got their sums wrong that's their problem.

Did they give you a price in writing?

Did they give you a receipt/docket with a description of the items, number of items and price of items? If they did, then I'd contend that this is all the writing you need (but then again I'm no legal expert). Take a long walk on a short pier etc.
